As I have stated before, I affirm the Biblical and Disciplinary understanding that homosexuality is incompatible with Christian teaching and lifestyle. We are called upon by Christ to reach out to all persons with the grace and love of God while affirming the values contained in the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.

Please read these materials carefully and become informed regarding this issue.

Note that NO ONE in Holston Conference had anything to do with this decision. Also, no monies from the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church or Pleasant View UMC are used to support either side of this controversy.

·        The Confessing Movement is the Anti-Homosexual caucus of the UMC.

I hope the day will soon come when the church is as concerned for the lost in our community and the world, as for the controversial issues of the day.
