As a result of recent hurricanes in the Gulf region, the cost of home heating oil has risen dramatically.  This creates a significant burden for the less fortunate who depend on oil to heat their residences.  

Washington county has a fuel assistance program to provide some assistance to needy residents, but the amount of assistance for this winter is much less than in past years due to the higher cost of oil.

Pleasant View UMC has started a program to provide additional assistance through donations from local businesses and residents.  Any donations that members or local residents or groups could provide would be much appreciated by those in need.  Give a gallon, give a 1000 gallons, any amount will help.  Click here for more information on how to donate.
